Nelson and CG

I know it's just an announcement teaser, but I feel like nelson just wasted a lot of money trying to shoot things practically, but all those live action shots doesn't really reflect in the teaser.

  1. The explosion in the making video looks much more natural but they've ruined it in the teaser. They've added a compound/fence which looks very fake and they've put some trees in the background which look fake as well.

  2. They've hung people from crane for the shots where people get thrown off the jeeps, but in the teaser all those people look outright CG.

I mean the teaser kind of did it's job, but the point in spending so much money for practical shots is to make the scene look more natural. But here not just the teaser looked completely CG, but they've spent money in practical shots as well. It's a lose-lose situation.

I just went back to take a look at Beast's CG shots as well and all of them are substandard.

Is it because nelson doesn't have experience in handling CG like say shankar or SSR does? If so, it's high time he has his own CG team to handle them.

As they say a good CG shot is one which doesn't look CG.

I get that sun pictures is trying to defend themselves by posting that they've spent a lot of money making this one, but sadly it doesn't reflect on the final out.

For all the hype that they created with the teaser getting screened in multiple theaters across the country, the CG should have been better, ESPECIALLY with all these practical shots that they filmed.
