The Looney Tunes Are Back!
Just got out of the theater after seeing The Day The Earth Blew Up! It was great to see it with a mostly packed audience. There were people my age (I’m in my 30s) who grew up with Looney Tunes, some brought their kids and grandkids. There were people who were old enough to have watched these old cartoons on Saturday morning or even a few who watched Looney Tunes in the theater.
It was a wonderful thing to see people of all age groups laughing and clapping at the film throughout. It just goes to show how relevant the Looney Tunes characters are to this day! The film was funny, silly, and the animation was wonderful! It felt like a perfect mix of the classic animation but still felt contemporary without alienating everybody who grew up with Looney Tunes!
I hope that more people go out to see this film, and that this hopefully opens the way with more being done with the Looney Tunes characters in the future!
For those of you who saw this film already, what did you think?
