Tourists & Talking Etiquette in Upmarket Massage Spas

I’ve been to a few high-end massage places in Thailand where they have a row of comfy chairs for foot massages, soft ambient music, and a peaceful vibe. But I’ve noticed that it’s almost always tourists chatting away, sometimes at full volume, completely ignoring the quiet atmosphere.

From what I’ve seen, Thais seem to respect the silence, but some foreigners don’t seem to get it. Is this just a common tourist blind spot, or do these places ever enforce quiet rules? Curious if anyone else finds this annoying or if I just need to tune it out.
