Dodge into the brain bug beam, brothers (non-Assault version).
Have you strafed to the side of a Zoan or Neuro beam and still got shafted by it because the hitbox isn't aligned with the visual?
Well, as it turns out, the safest action to perform is the visually counterintuitive manoeuvre of dodging into the beam.
Start the dodge action just before the beam would hit your feet, so that your roll/jump animation occurs through the beam, and you should, provided you have decent latency, end the animation on the other side safe and sound with a gunstrike to boot.
In my previous post I showed this with Assault. It's a lot easier to get with that class because of the extra dodge window.
For this post, I wanted to show that it's possible with the other classes too.
Also, I want to point out that, with Assault, the extra dodge window allows for a perfect dodge every time, provided you don't dodge too late (i.e, trying to dodge when the beam has already hit your feet).
But, with the other classes, you can successfully dodge into the beam but not trigger a perfect dodge (as shown with the Bulwark clip in the video).
PS: Dodge into Carnifex charges, not to the side or backwards.
