28F, junior lawyer

At my postgrad office job I realized my cap at that company with my degree and general lack of connections my income had a pretty low ceiling unless I used our $2k/year education stipend to get an MA while still working full time. I took a practice LSAT and realized I could get into a good school and almost guarantee getting paid 10x the income I grew up on (at the time new attorneys were getting paid $180k/year, but salaries went up greatly during my time in law school). I ended up getting a good scholarship and graduated with $90k in debt. Thought this might be interesting for people - coming from a low income background, the fact that these salaries are public and that knowing your LSAT score and GPA can pretty much predict your salary out of law school really appealed to me.
