Where were the adults in the room?

I’m actually requesting personal theories here, because I don’t have one and I’m just so curious to understand what the motivations of the people advising BL could be.

I wonder why BL’s lawyers and her PR reps allowed her to publish a lawsuit with so much misconstrued evidence? Why include so many details that are so easy to quickly discredit?

Didn’t they know the public would feel misled?

If she had filed a lawsuit with a lot less detail she would have a lot more public support right now.

Edited to add an example. I can understand how BL could be upset that JB asked her trainer about her weight. It was unnecessary to insinuate that JB lied about there being a lift scene in the movie.

It should be obvious that JB would be able to prove that initially there had been a lift scene and that once he did that people would feel lied to.

There are so many examples like that in her lawsuit. Even if it’s not obvious to BL that the public would soon find out and feel betrayed, it should have been obvious to her advisors.
