Can’t pair Roger On…

My audiologist gave me a demo unit and offered me the choice to set it up myself, which I wanted to do just to get familiar with it. Now she’s on vacation and I can’t get connected. When I try to pair, I get the check mark, but also a strange icon where the link icon should be showing a circle with an exclamation point. See attached.
