Have there been any REAL Federal Dismissals?

The reductions in force (RIF's) across the federal government are supposedly taking place.

I myself am a federal employee, and my wife is as well. With the "firings" taking place, subs like fednews and politics are losing their collective minds as "thousands lose their livelihoods".

There are specific groups being targeted, specifically the probationary employees who are still within their 1 first year (where employment is not guaranteed!), are being dismissed and offices are being downsized.

Working groups such as DEI office personnel are being relocated to other offices within the organization or being given the opportunity to quit if they don't like their new assignments.

Aside from these very specific situations, is anyone seeing any actual firings from the government thus far?

Fednews and Politics all tell anecdotes like:
- "a friend knows someone who was fired"
- "I heard that our sister agency is firing people"
- "I've read reports that people are being fired"

But no one has any first hand experience of knowledge of legitimate, NON-probationary dismissals.

Has anyone else noticed this, or have any insight that is more interesting than what I'm seeing in fednews, NOVA, or politics?
