Do you enjoy the tasting or the taste ?

What I'm trying to say is if all of you who say "I enjoy tasting my parter" are saying this because you like the act or because you like it as in it tasting like macarons ? Because I've never dared to taste it but I have trouble imagining I'm a three michelin stars dish honestly
